Tax sorted in
minutes, not hours.
No forms, no jargon, no accountant waiting room. Frly has a conversation with you, does the maths, and lodges directly with the ATO.
Step one
Tell us how you earn
We ask which platforms you drove or delivered for this quarter — Uber, DoorDash, DiDi, Menulog, or any other. Then we guide you to exactly where to find your earnings in each app. No guesswork, no spreadsheets.
Step two
We find what you can claim
Frly walks you through your work expenses one by one — fuel, your phone bill, vehicle costs, platform fees and more. We apply the right deduction rules automatically. Most gig workers miss hundreds of dollars in legitimate claims every quarter.
Step three
Review your summary
Before anything is lodged, we show you a plain English summary of your total income, your claimable expenses, and exactly what you owe the ATO (or are owed back). No surprises. You confirm it looks right, and we take it from there.
Step four
Done. We lodge it for you.
Frly submits your BAS directly to the ATO on your behalf. You get a confirmation straight away with a record of everything that was lodged. You're sorted for the quarter — no follow-up, no chasing, no stress.

Common questions
Do I need to be registered for GST?
Yes — rideshare drivers must register for GST from their very first dollar. The ATO classifies rideshare as a taxi service, so the usual $75,000 threshold doesn't apply. Delivery drivers need to register once they hit $75,000/year.
How do I find my earnings in the Uber or DoorDash app?
Frly guides you to exactly the right screen in each app — we know where the quarterly earnings summaries live. No hunting around, no guesswork. We also tell you which figure to use (gross fares, not the net deposit in your bank).
What expenses can I claim?
Common deductions include fuel, vehicle running costs (using logbook or cents per km), your phone bill (business portion), platform fees, car washing, and work gear. Most gig workers miss at least a few of these — Frly walks you through every one.
I drove for multiple platforms this quarter — is that OK?
Yes. Just tell us which ones and we'll walk through each platform's earnings separately, then combine them into one BAS. It adds a few minutes but Frly handles all the maths automatically.
Is Frly a registered BAS agent?
Yes. Frly is registered with the Tax Practitioners Board, which means we're authorised to lodge directly with the ATO on your behalf. Your lodgements are fully compliant.
When are BAS lodgements due?
Quarterly — the 28th of the month after each quarter ends. As a registered BAS agent, Frly customers get an extended deadline, giving you extra time to lodge without penalty.
What if I haven't lodged previous quarters?
The ATO prefers late lodgement to no lodgement. Frly can help you work through outstanding quarters one at a time and get you back on track — no judgement.
Do I need to lodge a BAS as a freelancer?
Only if you're registered for GST. Freelancers and sole traders need to register once they earn $75,000/year from their business. Below that threshold, GST registration (and BAS lodgement) is optional but can be worth it if you have significant business expenses to claim back.
How do I report income from multiple clients?
Just tell Frly how many clients you invoiced and we'll walk through each income source. Whether it's two clients or twenty, we combine everything into the correct BAS figures automatically.
What expenses can I claim?
Common freelancer deductions include home office costs, software subscriptions, equipment, phone and internet (business portion), professional development, and subcontractor fees. The exact amounts depend on your work type — Frly asks the right questions to make sure you claim everything you're entitled to.
I invoice with GST — how does that work in Frly?
Tell us your total invoiced amounts including GST and we'll handle the rest. We calculate the GST you've collected, subtract the GST on your business expenses, and work out exactly what you owe the ATO (or are owed back).
